Cookie policy
Last updated: July 2026
Before you publish: this needs to match the cookies your live site actually sets. Once analytics or ad pixels are installed, list the real cookie names and durations, and connect a consent banner so non-essential cookies only load after acceptance.
This policy explains how One Media uses cookies and similar technologies on this website, and how you can control them. It sits alongside our privacy policy, which explains how we handle personal data more generally.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They let a site remember your actions and preferences between pages and visits. We also use similar technologies such as local storage, pixels and tracking scripts — where this policy says "cookies", it covers those too.
Your consent
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, we may only set non-essential cookies after you have agreed to them. Essential cookies are set without consent because the site cannot work without them. You can accept, reject or change your choice at any time, and rejecting non-essential cookies will not stop you using this site.
Categories we use
| Category | What it does | Consent needed |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keeps the site secure and working — page routing, load balancing, form protection and remembering your cookie choice. | No |
| Preferences | Remembers settings you have chosen, such as language or a dismissed notice. | Yes |
| Analytics | Tells us which pages are read, how people arrived and where they leave, so we can improve the site. Reported in aggregate. | Yes |
| Advertising | Measures which adverts led to a visit and allows retargeting. Set by platforms such as Google, Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn. | Yes |
Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by other companies whose services we use, and are governed by their own policies. Depending on your consent, these may include analytics providers, advertising platforms, embedded video players and our email delivery provider. We do not control those cookies and cannot read data they collect for their own purposes.
Managing cookies
- Use the cookie banner on this site to accept or reject non-essential categories, and to change your mind later.
- Your browser lets you block or delete cookies — look under Settings, then Privacy. Blocking all cookies may break parts of this and other sites.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings and Your Online Choices.
- Most browsers offer a Do Not Track signal. There is no agreed standard for honouring it, so we rely on your cookie choice instead.
How long cookies last
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay until they expire or you delete them — typically from a few days for security cookies up to 24 months for advertising identifiers. Your recorded cookie preference is kept for 12 months, after which we will ask again.
Changes to this policy
If we add or remove tools that set cookies, we will update this page and the date above. If the change involves a new non-essential cookie, we will ask for your consent again.
